Here Is a test done on Vehicles trying to see where the engine oil is going?

Oil Evaporation/Lose or Piston Ring Carbon Build-up?

Our company sees lots of cars a day for oil changes, one of our first tasks we perform is to check the current oil level and track it. The cars shown below are all under 100,000 miles. They are NOT leaking oil nor does the customer or our techs ever see any oil coming through the exhaust system. This small sample of vehicles mentioned are having the oil changed at regular intervals they are not being neglected by to many miles between oil changes:

2007 Rav 4 2.4 L – 2 ltr low
2005 Escape 3.0L – 2.5 ltr low
2013 Kia Sorento 2.4L – 1 ltr low
2004 Tracker 2.5L – 2.5 ltr low
2004 Grand Cherokee 4.7L – 2.5 ltr low
2015 Forester 2.5L – 2.5 ltr low
2008 Honda Civic 1.8L – .750ml low
2010 CRV 2.4L – 1 ltr low
2001 Forester 2.5L – .750ml low
2012 Fiesta 1.6L – 1.5 ltr low
2010 Forester 2.5L – 2 ltr low
2013 Terrian 2.4L – 1 ltr low
2007 Rav4 2.4L – .750ml low
